I'm a digital painter, and I've been using Adobe Photoshop for almost 4 years now and I've grown very fond of the program. I usually go for a more realistic look and paint in a way akin to old oil paint glaze over, but recently I have the desire to do something more comicbooky/cartoony so I'm doing some master studies of people who use line work in their digital paintings. What I'm noticed though is my lines made with my brush tool aren't as smooth, and my lines' size doesn't taper out very smoothly when I lift up on the pen. I found out many of the people I'm learning from draw using Paint Tool Sai, so I though I'd try it but I did not like
